It’s hard to get turned on when you aren’t in the mood, it happens all the time when your partner is ready to get freaky but you aren’t into it at all at that moment. There are so many factors that weigh into our sexual desires, our mood and sex drive. We are constantly questioning ourselves, what is that works for you to get turned on and horny? Is it what you’re eating? Do you need to intake more aphrodisiac foods?

Don’t believe the hype on those aphrodisiac foods like chocolate or seafood. If you have a candy bar or some oyster shooters you’re not going to be rock hard or wet and immediately taking off you’re clothes. But you can make certain sensual foods sexy to get you horny, like feeding each other chocolate covered fruit.

Not having a strong sex drive when your partner does can be high in stress and anxiety, these are coincidentally some of the two biggest sex drive killers. When you have stress and feel anxious you don’t feel sexy and it takes a lot to get you aroused. Stress should be a wakeup call to change something in your day-to-day lifestyle. Maybe you’re building up stress from work, try spending at least 30 minutes off emails, the internet and any other distractions and spend it with your partner instead.

Another good way to eliminate is stress is working out, and exercising before sex boosts your overall sex drive. Working out also helps you connect with your body and when you’re fit you are more comfortable in your own skin and in the bedroom. Imagine working up a sweat and calling your partner on the way back from the gym because your libido is through the roof after a spin class or a good workout and having some dirty talk or phone sex to get ready for another workout at home.
